Due to inclement weather this fixture was reversed from Seel Park and played on a 3G Astro Turf pitch which was a totally unacceptable size and length. Given the size of the pitch space was hard to find and with the home side working hard to close Mossley down, the game became scrappy at times which suited Nantwich.

Several changes were made to allow players to rest following the previous day's reserve game against Curzon Ashton, with Reece Hobson coming in for Andy McKernon and Matty Clarke for Jordon Cuff. In a game that was far too close for comfort for 60 minutes given the amount of possession and chances Mossley enjoyed.

Mossley took the lead on 29 minutes with a powering header by Alex Chesters from a Joe Heap corner. However, Nantwich who were dogged in the resistance equalised five minutes later when the lively Sam Wakefield nipped between the two Mossley centre backs to equalise from a Aiden Haughton cross.

As the first half petered out Mossley were guilty of squandering several good chances whilst down the other end Nantwich were able to carve a few opportunities of their own.

The second half started much the same as the first with Mossley going on the attack and Nantwich working hard to close us down. On 59 minutes Mossley took the lead again. A quick throw in down the right from Alex Byrne found the home side's defence sleeping and allowed Wes Harney to score.

From the kick off it appeared the flood gates would open as Mossley launched attack after attack but to their credit Nantwich refused to lie down and equalised on 72 mins through Bradley Cooper.

With Mossley in danger of dropping points they again began to bombard the Nantwich goal and as a result scored three goals in quick succession. First Chesters helped himself to a second from another Heap corner, then Harney was put through twice in the space of two minutes, first by Heap and then by Byrne.

Nantwich then scored from one of their rare forges into the Mossley half when Haughton hit a speculative effort form 20 yards that crept in off Nick Howards left hand post.

Almost from the restart Mossley again went on the attack and scored again this time through Jordon Cuff who was put through by Heap.
