Leaving Seel Park at 10.00am the coach didn't arrive at Partick's ground until 3.45, 45 mins before KO due to traffic problems.

From the start Mossley took the game to their Scottish hosts with some very penetrating inter-passing that saw them open up the Partick defence on several occasions in the opening 10 mins

Mossley took a deserved lead on 12 minutes when Kyle McDnonagh released Antony Dorney with a lovely through ball that saw the Partick keeper beaten with a low drive into the bottom corner.

From the restart Mossley continued to press their opponents who were trying manfully to match Mossley's fluent passing and movement off the ball.

On 30 minutes Mossley doubled their lead when Joe Heap, who was tearing the home defence to pieces with his dribbling and movement, latch onto a through ball from Dorney to score with ease.

Mossley made changes at half time binging on all four of their substitutes and although Partick regrouped at half time and started the second half a lot brighter than they had shown at any point in the first, Mossley soon once again in control of the game. Connor Hampson and Alex Byrne were totally bossing the centre of midfield with Heap continuing to trouble the Partick defence down the left.

On 54 minutes Heap made it 3-0 with his second goal of the game and on 74 minutes Shaun Chapman made it 4-0 when he was put through by Byrne.

Given the probems encountered in getting there and the short time we had to prepare for the game, not just the result but the performance against a team who won last years Scottish FA Youth Cup is one the lads can be proud of.
