Mossley progressed to the third round of the Manchester FA Youth Cup with an easy win over Timperley based Unicorn Athletic at Seel Park on Sunday morning.

The writing was on the cards from the 4th minute when Jordan Cuff fired home to give Mossley the lead and the advantage was never threatened throughout a totally one sided contest.

The impressive Cuff finished the game with five well taken goals, while Ben McNamara, Matthew Lyth and substitute Matty Clarke were also on target for the rampant Mossley youngsters.

The only surprise was that Mossley didn’t add even more goals to their tally as their dominance of the game was total from start to finish.

As for Unicorn, they would no be relieved that Mossley were without top scorer Joe Heap, who, along with recent signing Fabio Abreu were away training with the England Schools squad at Lilleshall and 10 goal Antony Dorney who is currently injured, or else the damage to their shattered pride could have been much worse.
