An easy win this one for the youth team against 1st division opposition Walshaw Sports. The game was effectively put to bed in the first half with Mossley racing to a 7-1 lead with goals from Joe Heap 4, Wes Harney 2 and a screamer from Ben McNamara.

With the second a formality, Mossley eased the pressure on the Walshaw goal, retaining possession and keeping the home team at bay and as a result were only able to add two more goals to the first half hall total. Wes Harney completed his hatrick and McNamara claimed his second.

A special mention for Kyle McDonagh who deputised in goal as both Nick Howard and Rob Williams were both away and put in a sterling performance.

The impressive performances this season by Joe Heap have been recognized by Shaun who has called him into the first team squad for Tuesday night's game against Curzon Ashton.
