Mossley let a two goal lead slip against 10 man Altrincham in Sunday's NWYA fixture at Seel Park in a match that should have been sewn up much earlier in the game.

The visitors got off to a flying start but it was an error by Mossley keeper Nick Howard who allowed a soft Duncan Watmore effort to slip through his grasp and over the line in only the 2nd minute of play.

Mossley finally got into their stride and created and missed several chances before scoring a bizare goal of vtheir own on 29 minutes when Jordan Rutter's cross from the right evaded everyone and found the net by the far post.

Mossley edged in frint a minute before the interval when Jake Hibbs excellent pass released Adam Bezzina who made no mistake from ten yards.

Mossley looked to have deservedly wrapped up the points in the 67th minute when Ben Hamilton handled in the box and Omar McKenzie stepped up to confidently fire home the resulting penalty kick.

Altrincham were then reduced to ten men when skipper Matt Fearon, who had played for Alty's firtst team the day before was sent off for a reckless challenge on Kane Joyce who was himself unable to take any further part in the game as he hobbled off shortly afterwards.

Subsitute Prince Amadin had a great chance to extend Mossley's lead but a heavy second touch allowed the visitors time to recover and clear.

Altrincham reduced the arrears when Ryan Barry found the bottom corner with a 25 yard free kick and with the game about to enter stoppage time the visitors fashioned an unlikely equaliser when Sam Grimshaw saw his long range effort beat Howard to earn the visitors a share of the points.
