The youth team put in a steady performance in dispatching Nantwich Town 3-1. Mossley took an early lead through Saul Henderson who out paced the home team defence to fire an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the goal.

Mossley continued to dominate possession and created several opportunities but failed to press home their advantage, Henderson, Prince Amadin and Omar McKenzie all going close.

Nantwich had very little to offer as an attacking force preferring to play with just one lone striker and consequently only managed to force 2 corners in the first 45 minutes. However, form one of these corners the Mossley defence switched off and the home side were able to draw level from a free header at the far post.

8 minutes before half time Mossley took the lead again. Jake Hibbs the provider with a superb through ball for Amadin who made no mistake with his finish.

The second half panned out very much as the first with Mossley dominating from start to finish, Hibbs and Ross Hildersley dominating the game in the middle of the park, but they were made to wait until 15 minuets from time before the could add to their tally when Adam Bezzina hit a 30 yard screamer that crashed against the bar, Andy McKernon on hand to tap in the rebound.
