A Mossley Youth team made up predominantly of first years comfortably beat Northwich Victoria at Wright Robinson Sports College on Sunday.

The Lilywhites youngsters got off to a flying start, taking the lead in the fourth minute, when Adam Marsden broke free to score at the second attempt after his first effort was blocked.

Despite dominating play and creating numerous chances Mossley were unable to add to their lead in the first half.

Half time saw Joe Bunney and Jaya Woski-Cawthorne replace Marsden and Matthew Singleton up front and the pair made an immediate impact.

A swift move up the left wing saw Bunney fire home and the same player bagged again a few minurtes later.

Woski-Cawthorne got his name on the scoresheet in the 65th minute when he turned the ball home from close range from Justin Schall's low cross.

Bunney, Woski-Cawthorne and Marsden all had chances to extend Mossley's lead but it was Northwich who rallied late in the game to grab two consolation goals.
