The youth team returned to winning ways on Sunday when the defeated Northwich Victoria 3-1 at Barnton FC.

The game was only 12 mins old when Mossley were reduced to 10 men following an off the ball incident with Omar McKenzie who was accused by the referee of throwing a punch. Far from knock the way team out of their stride it seemed to spur the youngsters on and were 2-0 to the good by half time with goals from Greg Street and Ross Hildersley.

The second half patterned out similar to the first with Mossley dominating from the start but after missing a host of chances had to wait until the 70 minuets mark before they scored the third courtesy of substitute Adam Bezzina.

With the game won Mossley took the foot off the pedal and allowed the home side to sneak a consultation goal.

With 6 of the current squad still only 15 years old and 4 others still eligible for next season, the squad look in a healthy position.
