Not as near as the score line suggests. Mossley totally dominated this game from the kick off and should have be 3 or 4 up at the interval, Adam Bezzina and Prince Amadin both missing good chances but went in at half just one to the good, a header from Bezzina.

The second half was a carbon copy of the first with the away team continuing to squander chance after chance. Bezzina, Amadin and Greg Street all guilty of failing to kill off the home team. It took an excellent long range effort from Ross Hildersley to extend Mossleys lead with a curling shot from 25 yards on 76 minutes.

Prescot did rally late on and were awarded a free kick on the edge of the Mossley box, which was duly dispatched by Adam Rider straight through the Mossley Wall.
