Michael Pamment forged a reputation as a forceful footballer. His goal scoring prowess first became apparent in the old Red Triangle League for juniors. Playing for Kirkburton, he topped 100 goals in both the 1960-61 and 61-62 seasons, earning places in both the Huddersfield Schools and Red Triangle representative teams.
When he got his chance to impress the England Youth selectors in March 1963, he took it, netting a hat trick at Roehampton, which earned him a cap against Wales.
Later that year, having been signed on amateur forms by Bradford City, he played for them in a League match against Torquay.
Pamment first signed for Emley in 1965, when they were still a Huddersfield District league club, and was their top scorer for five straight seasons, during which time they climbed into the former Yorkshire League and enjoyed two celebrated runs in the old FA Amateur Cup.
Having had trials with Huddersfield Town, Blackburn and Peterborough and played for the FA amateur representative team.
Don WIlson signed him for Mossley in August 1970 and he scored 16 goals in 40 appearances in the 1970/71 season before signing for Bradford Park Avenue and later Buxton before returning to Emley in 1973.
By the end of his second spell as a player at the Welfare Ground he had scored more than 300 goals.
He was club coach from 1978-85 and had a stint as caretaker-manager in 1994.

Inside forward Donald Phillips was signed by then Mossley player-manager, the late Don Wilson in August 1964, and went on to make 106 Mossley appearances scoring 33 goals in four seasons with the club.
He was the Lilywhites top scorer in the 1966/67 season with 22 goals and later became a player and then manager of Glossop in the 1970's.
Following the introduction of substitutes for the first time in the 1966/67 season Don became Mossley first ever number 12 on the opening day of the season away at Bangor City.

Harry is a tall and skilful forward who was signed in August 2020.
He previously had a brief spell at Mossley in November 2017 when on loan from Chorley making 3 Lilywhites appearances and since leaving Chorley has had spells with Colne, Chadderton and Padiham.
Harry began his playing career with Rochdale before spending time with FC United of Manchester and Clitheroe.
Transferred to Hyde United in March 2022.

Born in Buxton on 15th January 1955.
Left winger Andrew George Proudlove began his career with Reading, making 5 Fourth Division appearances in the 1971/72 season.
His stay at Elm Park was brief, and he left the "Royals" and joined Buxton before arriving at Mossley in September 1972 making 10 appearances and scoring one goal before returning to Buxton in October 1972.
He returned to the Football League with Len Ashurst's Sheffield Wednesday, making 15 Third Division appearances in the 1975/76 season.
He left Hillsborough for Norwich City, but played just one First Division game in the 1976/77 campaign for John Bond's "Canaries".
He moved from Carrow Road to Hereford United, but played just 11 league games at the "Bulls" were relegated out of the Third Division.
He returned to Buxton after leaving Edgar Street.
He signed for Port Vale from Buxton for a £1,000 fee in November 1978 making 5 Fourth Division appearances around January 1979 before joining Stafford Rangers on a free transfer in May 1979.
He later played for Macclesfield Town and Matlock Town before returning to his home town club Buxton and then having a spell in Finland with Kuopion Palloseura FC in 1982.

Ben is a goalkeeper signed on dual registration with Curzon Ashton in November 2018. He progressed through the youth set up at Salford City making his first team debut in 2016. Ben has had loan spells with Prescot Cables and Atherton LR during his time at Curzon. Later with Clitheroe.
